GIS Certificate Admission Procedures

1) The applicant can acquire a certificate application form from (a) Registrar Office, (b) GIS Lab (GL 275), (c) Any of the following departments: Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences, Environmental Studies, Landscape Architecture, and Biology, or (d) GIS Lab web site: http://gislab.fiu.edu.

2) The application form should be completely filled and be submitted together with the supporting documents to the responsible member of the Certificate Coordinate Committee. The committee consists of the following faculty members, who are authorized to admit applicants in different academic disciplines:

Michael McClain (Environmental Studies)
Dean Whitman (Earth Sciences)
Fang Zhao (Engineering)
Zhaohui Jennifer Fu (General Admissions for all the other departments and disciplines)

3) The committee member in charge of evaluating the applicant's file will make a decision on applicant's admission into the program. The applicant will be notified by writing about the decision.
